I am a wildlife photographer based in Canberra, Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country. I love this place and all it has to offer, from the foothills of the Australian Alps to the gorgeous South Coast.

I grew up to appreciate the country around me and I was encouraged to explore and learn about it. This led me to study it formally and informally and to learn to read it and understand it. This also led me to a career in outdoor education and later as a ranger.

I wanted to capture the amazing things I saw almost every day, so naturally I took to photography to do this. What better way to celebrate the amazing relationship of Australian birds feeding on out gorgeous native flora!

I now find myself focussing on trying to capture animal’s behaviour and celebrate it by capturing a beautiful image. The insights a get doing this often blow my mind!

My other focus is trying to find creative ways to celebrate the wildlife we see day-to-day. I would rather get a beautiful image and an insight into an animals life, than traipse around the bush to find my next lifer.
